Bimma Makes Trade

In one of the strangest moves in FPGP history, Bimma has dumped Shigeki Marayama and picked up Jason Gore, virtually assuring himself that he won't finish last or in the top 3.

Uhhhh. Bimma, you could have given me the $20 and I would have given you $10 back. That's not a knock against JG, it's a knock against you. What were you thinking. Last place plays free.

Wow! Oh well, it's your money.

Well, I'm not going to tank the season to try and finish in last place just to play next year for free. Unfortunately, I would need to trade almost everyone on my team to make any jump up near the top of the leaderboard too!! So, I'm stuck in the middle. I added JG as a morale booster!!!
I will gladly take $10 back though!!! :)

Attaboy Bimma! Go down swingin' I say!

Go down swinging? Ok. A moral booster? Is that what the FPGP has become? Next time just donate the $20 to your or JG's favorite charity if you're looking to boost your morale.

Anyway.... thanks for adding to the pot. NT, what's the payout breakdown looking like at the midpoint of the season? MG, remember when I suggested that you make a trade? I think you might not need to now.

We currently have $1400 in the prize pool... which breaks down to:

1st: $910
2nd: $260
3rd: $130

Duffer:$100

Well, with the trade if I still finish in last...it becomes a win-win for me. And, if I do, then I would gladly make a $100 donation to JG's or MG's favorite charity!!

Shades, considering it appears that you are likely also not going to finish in Top 3, I won't have to worry about my extra $20 going in your pocket!! :)

Yeah, as far as "donations" go, Shades is the lifetime leader, so don't feel bad Bimma. It's hard to win when you draft your team entirely off the "medical exemption" list. Speaking of which, I saw Hank Kuehne pumping gas the other day... and it wasn't his car!

Also, for the longest time Stevie V. was a cellar dwellar... but then he hit gold and had a nice little run. The one FPGPer who has been the most consistent has to be Da Bandit... Robbo has had some success, but has also found the cellar a few times... same with me. Excal has probably won as much as he's lost in this thing, so he's about even.

With Da Bandit, atleast I can hopefully talk him into buying me a few Dewar's when I see him in Chicago in July!! Perhaps he will even spring for a couple beers and a hot dog at the ChiSox game (that should be about $20). He's good for it!!! By dumping Maruyama for JG, it should atleast bring me a couple spots closer to the top! Plus, I'll get to cheer him on when he comes to Boston for the Deutsche Bank Championships!!

Well, Bimma, at the Deutsche Bank, you may get involved with something more entertaining than following JG. If I make my annual trip to New England to coincide with the tournament, my goal will be to stimulate a dialogue between you and Rory Sabbatini. A strategic remark on a tee box that "I still can't believe you thought Rory was SOOO BAD that you shorted him in the golf pool" might get the words flowing from him. The interaction could even get you some video on The Golf Channel. We should discuss at the ChiSox game.

I'd tune to the Golf Channel for that one.

Bimma, do you live in Boston? I'm heading up there for a Sox game on Monday night. I have 2 SRO tix in the Budweiser Right Field Roof area that I am not using. I originally bought 4 for myself, Tev and my 2 brothers, but caught a ticket dump and picked up 4 along the 3B baseline. I still have 2 of those Bud RF SRO tix. Yours free if you want them, but you will need to meet up with me and Tev at Fenway prior to the game. Email New Tex and have him give you my cell phone number. I get in on Sunday (Mothers Day). Also, Tev and I are golfing at Pine Hills in Plymouth on Monday if you want to join us.
