No Justice

In case you didn't know already, Joel/Excal is at The Masters today. I find this to be completely ironic, as I've never met anyone with such blatant disregard for the rules and traditions of golf, and there he is at the most hallowed grounds! This is a guy who routinely carries 18-20 clubs in his bag (several drivers, putters, and wedges, none of which have ever been struck solidly), routinely tees the ball up 3 feet in front of the tee markers, and despite all of this, has never hit a ball more than 220 yards. HE is at The Masters.

Well, as the man would say...

NO JUSTICE!

Being jealous gets you nowhere NT... I hope he twists an ankle on a sprinkler head and has to scream out "Jesus F-ing Christ" at 'Amen Corner'. Now, that would be ironic!!!

How the hell did he manage it? Who gifted him? I was extremely fortunate through my brother-in-law (lifelong scratch golfer, 2 time CT State Senior Amateur Champ among other laurels)having good golfing contacts to attend the 1984 Masters. Is there an Augusta National member whom Excal advises on playing to your MBP or Maximum Beer Potential? God Bless Him. With The Walrus playing well, I hope Excal doesn't move or speak aloud when he's addressing the ball; it won't be a pretty sight!

I don't know how he scored the tix, but his presence has not inspired his players in our bet:

Mickelson (76)
Allenby (79)
C. Howell (75)
Furyk (75)
Els (78)

My picks didn't have a great day... but Excal's are historically bad. He is in real danger of not having one of his guys make the weekend.

And yes... the MBP. He has already advised me that he will not play before noon when he is down here during The Colonial weekend... hangovers and whatnot. So, he'd rather play in scorching heat than just not have that 17th gin and tonic the night before? I could give him a stroke a hole and it won't be close...

Yes, the team of

The Walrus (74)
Fuzzy ( 2 over after 16)
Watson (75)
Crenshaw (76)
O'Meara (77)

would have a nice lead over him (and my picks too probably)

I saw after my previous post that The Walrus doubled 16. Do you think Excal was in that gallery and played a role?

It's certainly a possibility... playing with him usually adds 5 strokes to your game, so i imagine if he is just watching it is good for 2 or 3.

Clearly, he was nowhere near Wetterich today... Shit.

He was likely doing what Canadiens do. Follow other Canadiens. So if I were Mike Weir, I'd ask security to keep Excal at a good 2 or 3 hole distance from him.

For those of you who've never had the pleasure of playing with Excal... see what i mean? Imagine listening to this for 4.5 hours!
