Let's Start A Movement

On another thread New Tex reminded me to rekindle the revolutionary forces to end the season after the Tour Championship. Look people, it makes no sense to trash the season with events that wouldn't even make coverage on "the ocho". Let's review these quality events:

Oct. 2 - Oct. 5 Turning Stone Resort Championship Atunyote Golf Club at Turning Stone, Verona, NY
Everybody knows Verona is "mobbed up". This whole event was developed to wash money. Let's not become co-consprators in a Ricoh case by lending FPGP validation to this event.

Oct. 9 - Oct. 12 Valero Texas Open La Cantera Golf Club, San Antonio, TX
Isn't Valero that company that films porn flicks?

Oct. 16 - Oct. 19 Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals Open TPC at Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV
Too easy, it has Justin Timberlake and Shriners in the name. One sings like he has an enlarged prostate and the Shriners are the reason we suffer through Avodart commercials on every PGA broadcast. If I see that miniaturizing bastard crumple up that clay boulder one more time...

Oct. 23 - Oct. 26 Frys.com Open Grayhawk Golf Club, Scottsdale, AZ
If you want a 42" flat screen for $199 then go to Fry's, if you want a quality event, stop after the Tour Championship.

Oct. 30 - Nov. 2 Ginn sur Mer Classic at Tesoro Hammock Beach Golf Club, Palm Coast, FL
I only have three things to say here" N-F'n-L. It's the Palm Coast people. You can watch the greatest team sport or a bunch or painted up NY yentas and their mates in poly and plaid watching tour players make a dying grasp at "spot last" on the money list while the observers test the tensile strength of their pull-ups.

Nov. 6 - Nov. 9 Children's Miracle Network Classic Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Buena Vista, FL
A great cause yes, quality play...hardly. The miracle is if anybody in the top 150 plays. This is a Mickey-mouse event, literally.

I rest my case. Let's not cheapen the FPGP, er..any further.

Hmmmm... not convincing. Here's the problem Chachi... in any other "fantasy league" event, be it baseball, football, whatever floats your boat, there are plenty of end of season games/events that don't much matter but the league doesn't stop at some aribitrary time.

Plus, the proof is in the pudding. Those events do matter. They changed the outcome of the FPGP last year. Now man up and hope Ken Duke isn't waiting until October to make his move.

BTW, you have to know that if we were to change the rule, you'd be in 4th place after the Tour Championship, only to see all of your guys play well in the Fall.

Those events could be the last hope I have for the "O-man, I suck" to make a few cuts, or for David "What new medical exemption can they create for me" Duval to win some money. If anything, Nationwide money should count for my teams since half the events some of my guys will play are on the Nationwide Tour.

Bravo! Good work, New Tex! The sole reason for Mr. Flanagan rallying this weekend to post a top ten finish had to be your trashing of him. Your heckling once again documents the efficacy of the power of fan magical thinking.

Clearly, I'm the only one with such powers though... Shades heckles his players all the time, and look at his results. O-man, I hope I didn't double jinx myself.

If thats all it takes to get your teams head out of their ass, I guess I'll have to run with the same theory. From this point forward I would like my team to be referred to as "The Piece of Shize"
