Texas Open
The Valero Texas Open is LOADED with FPGPers... this is probably a throw-away tourney to a lot of casual golf fans, considering that the world will be watching Ireland and the Ryder Cup... but just look at the field. It is full of FPGP bottom dwellars... this could be an interesting week.

I have only 1 player in this entire tournament. Justin Rose.
Well, enjoy the first round lead... because that boy can't close.
I was thinking about making a Craig Perks comment... you are right. What a fall from grace...
Is he hurt?
We know (by his own admission) that IBF's problems were mental.
I think Perks is like Garrett Willis. A one-trick pony, just on a bigger stage. I think I may have won the FPGP the year after his W by shorting him. Just too erratic; he seems to sink into the abyss more and more every year. Remember, the year he won The Players, the elite was having a tough time out there - The Walrus was in second late into the final round. I vaguely recall that Perks chipped in on at least a few occasions - even from the rough around the green. That'll save a lot of strokes.
Good analogy...
I seem to remember him chipping in two or three times in the last few holes... I am sure he chipped in on that last hole, after nearly Vandevelding the tourney.
Dont look now, but Rocco is on the happy side of the cutline with 8 holes to go...
How is that even possible? How does a 30 handicapper find his way into a Q-school environment?
Can you imagine being paired with that guy? Actually, we can... it is called "golf w/ Excalibur." It can be a lot of fun, but I wouldn't want to do it in a real tourney scenario!
