The Bandit Triumphs Amidst Mediocrity

The final dollar figures are not in, but Bandit will win The US Open leg on the strength of Ogilvy (T9), Cink (T14), Garcia (T18), and Mickelson (T18) for a total of 59 places. Second and third will depend on how the money falls with Talonflier finishing with Goosen (T14), Cink (T14), Mickelson (T18), and Scott (T26) for 72; Da Rodent scurried in Ogilvy (T9), Garcia (T18), Mickelson (T18), and Leonard (T36). Guaranteed to be last is "The Bangkok Boy" who suffered with Garcia (T18), Stricker (T29), Verplank (T29), and Harrington (T36) for a tidy 112. The collapse of Luke Donald (77-WD for rounds 3 and 4 respectively) clearly robbed me of victory though I am confident I will maintain a money margin going into the British. Finals figures upon release...go Rocco!!!!

I've been preoccupied. I shall return to winning form in the British Open (Steve "MacArthur" V.

Yeah, I'm not even in this pool and I thought you did it by counting strokes.

Everyone at my office is taking a 4 hour lunch today. Go Tiger!

Duh! We went with the total prize money of your best four players out of six. We changed to simplify life for...ahem...certain professors who find statistics work annoying. However, it is a good bet that Voodoo is counting strokes right now, if you know what I mean.

Can't seem to get to double digits.

Stay preoccupied, Steverino, and you'll get there with your pluckiness.

We already played 1 major under the new rules and Robbo still thinks we're playing under the old rules!!! Now you see why I didn't go into teaching.

Pyrhhic Victory in the grand scheme of things. I want to know which one of you bastards has the DL3 voodoo doll that you stuck at approximately 8 p.m. EDT on Saturday to put him in a free fall from a legitimate shot to win to a good shot to post a top ten to an ultimate finish with the "happy to have been here, I'll always cherish my Torrey Pines player credentials" fellas. The pressure of his role in the FPGP must have been too much for him to handle.

Stevie, I can't believe you left without packing a healthy dose of Enzyte and Cialis... that should help you get to double digits.

Hey New Tex,

We should start a new sidebet tradition. When you throw down the Make Cut gauntlet to Excal on one of his picks in the British, after he naturally declines I will likely be waiting in the wings - unless it's someone like Gabe Herjtstedt or Gronberg.

Hmmmmm... not a bad idea. I've actually thought we should have a MC penalty in these things anyway.

Congrats on your $10. Bastard.
