Dear Axley and Na,

I appreciate you making the cut at the FBR. I really do. But there is no excuse for shooting over par on so-called "moving day" when 95% of the field is under par. I understand that Davis Love III is one of the few of you over par for the day, but that is not an excuse. When you are in your 40's, make a cut and shoot over par on "moving day" as a guy who has won a major, then you might be able to get away with it.

Sincerely,
Shades

Thank you Kevin Na for listening. Even is not great, but will do.

Dear Shades,

I shot Even par today, not over par. Next time we play together on the PGA Tour, I am going to be sure to keep duplicate cards, as you clearly can't add. Oh wait, you're not on Tour? Anyway... thanks for the criticisms... give me a call next time you break par. By the time that happens, we should be able to communicate with our thoughts.

Signed,
Kevin Na

p.s. Axley is a chump. The only smart play with him was to short him. Sucka.

Dear Mr. Na,

I guess you didn't notice that my posting occured while you were +2 and had just followed the move of your friend Mr. Axley. Both of you put one in the water on #6. For the record, I am not on the PGA Tour so my ability to break par is meaningless to the conversation.

Best of luck on Sunday.

Shades

p.s. You are right about Axley.

The boys are off to a decent start on Sunday. Making a cut is nice, but finishing near last only covers expenses and doesn't help the FPGPer. Looking at my team consisting of guys that might not pick up a club all year (Perks & Kuehne), I need the guys that I do have to make cuts and win some dough.

Even if Perks picks up a club, he is a better bet to hit a ball into someone's swimming pool at The Honda than to win a dime.

Nice to see some of the short picks doing well, especially a New Englander like Brett Quigley. Isn't he a Gamecock too?

I think Quig's is from NH and also a G'Cock. And like Gamecock football teams of past, he held the lead until blowing it late.

The Quigley clan is from Rhode Island, I believe.

"The biggest little state in the union..."

bocabandit said...

Yes, from lil, ole Rhode Island.

And a Gamecock from big, bad New York shorted a fellow Gamecock.

We might be seeing wanton hubris in play here.

Axe, you suck! Once again, moving day and your going backwards. I realize you have a few holes to go, but you still don't get it. You should thank Gut-check, Couch and O'Hair for being on my 2007 FPGP team. You are an All-Star compared to them.
