  3. Damn... I was hoping you'd pass on him...

I am going with a hedge bet... give me Paddy O' Harrington.

  4. BTW, I have a great 5th pick... I am certain you won't go near him... it is going to shock the world.

  5. Speaking of shocks.....
    Steve Stricker

  6. Interesting... I had Stricker on the depth chart, but not this high... I wonder how he'll rebound from letting a couple majors slip away...

Actually, I left my depth chart at work, so I'll continue this tomorrow... yeah, that's right... I am going to call time out and try to ice you. I'm pulling out all the stops baby!

  7. Ok... back to work now. I've rerun my computer model analysis, and according to my calculations, the best pick left on the board is...

    Scott Verplank.

  13. Thanks for not being a jackoff about my brain fart... I was prepared to remind you of the Trevor Immelman Karma from last year's B.O. bet.

Ok... here it is... the surprise pick of the year... this one has "gut" and "hunch" written all over... the man has done nothing in majors, yet he is a top 50 player in the world... I just have a feeling, given the weirdness of this year's major... the weird winners we get at the PGA from time to time... that this is... the year of...

John "Don't Call Me Henry" Rollins

  14. and for my last pick....

    Give me Cink Sank Sunk....

  15. Well, we've reached a new era in this bet... no Vijay. No Phil. Wow.

    Ok, so our teams are:

Me: Furyk, Harrington, Verplank, Rose, Rollins

You: Choi, Stricker, Toms, T. Clark, Cink

  16. I went for the young grinders who can stand 100 degree heat this year. Phil is a headcase, vijay is pushing 44. Your English limeys will wilt like dried Pansies when it gets over 90 degrees

  17. YOUNG GRINDERS???? Your team is older than mine you moron!!

    Furyk (37)
    Harrington (35)
    Verplank (43)
    Rose (27)
    Rollins (32)

    Choi (37)
    Stricker (40)
    Toms (40)
    Clark (32)
    Cink (34)

The average age of your team is 36.6... mine is 34.8. And people from Wisconsin (Stricker) are just glorified Limeys anyway.

    This is war!!!

  18. Not just YOUNG! YOUNG GRINDER! YOUNG + GRINDER = VICTORY!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. There is something about the way you use the word "grinder" that is like fingernails on chalkboard to me... probably because you refer to YOURSELF as a "grinder" on the golf course... usually when you are grinding out a 94 from the Senior Tees.

BTW, i read some "expert" prediction online last night, and they had Cink, Clark and Toms in their top 10.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Then the experts are reading my mind....scary huh?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Well, the experts had a whole bunch of other picks as well... it cracks me up when "experts" pick 15 guys who could win.

I really like the Tim Clark pick... he was under my radar, but the more I think about it, the more I like it.
